Creamy blend of mixed summer berries, banana, yogurt and almond milk—quick, refreshing, and nutritious.

# What You Need:

→ Fruit

01 - 1 cup (150 g) mixed fresh or frozen summer berries (strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, blackberries)
02 - 1 medium banana, peeled

→ Liquids

03 - 1 cup (240 ml) unsweetened almond milk (or dairy/non-dairy milk of choice)
04 - 1 tablespoon pure honey or maple syrup (optional)

→ Add-Ins

05 - 1/2 cup (125 g) plain Greek yogurt (or dairy-free alternative)
06 - 1 teaspoon chia seeds (optional)

# Steps:

01 - Add the mixed berries, banana, almond milk, Greek yogurt, honey or maple syrup (if using), and chia seeds into the blender jar.
02 - Toss in a few ice cubes if you prefer a thicker, colder smoothie, especially when using fresh berries.
03 - Blend on high speed for 30 to 60 seconds until the mixture is completely smooth and creamy.
04 - Taste the smoothie and add more honey or maple syrup if additional sweetness is desired.
05 - Pour the smoothie into glasses and serve right away for the best flavor and texture.

# Expert Hints:

01 -
  • It legitimately tastes like a milkshake but there is nothing guilty about it, which feels like a small victory before nine am.
  • Frozen berries mean you never have to worry about anything being ripe enough, and honestly that removes half the stress of cooking anything with fruit.
02 -
  • Do not blend chia seeds and then let the smoothie sit for twenty minutes unless you enjoy drinking something with the texture of pudding.
  • Frozen berries actually work better than fresh for texture and I learned this only after wasting an entire farmers market haul on watery attempts.
03 -
  • Freeze overripe bananas in chunks so you always have smoothie ready sweetness waiting in the freezer door.
  • Blend the greens and liquid first before adding fruit if you want a perfectly smooth result with zero leafy bits.
