Pineapple Pink Lemonade (Printable)

A refreshing tropical drink combining sweet pineapple and strawberries with tangy homemade pink lemonade.

# What You Need:

→ Fruit Base

01 - 2 cups fresh pineapple chunks, drained if canned
02 - 1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled and halved

→ Lemonade Base

03 - 1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (4-5 lemons)
04 - ½ cup granulated white sugar, or to taste
05 - 4 cups cold water

→ Optional Garnishes

06 - Fresh pineapple wedges
07 - Lemon slices
08 - Fresh mint leaves
09 - Ice cubes

# Steps:

01 - Place pineapple chunks and strawberries in a blender. Process on high speed until completely smooth and no chunks remain.
02 - Set a fine-mesh sieve over a large pitcher. Pour the blended fruit mixture through the sieve, using a spatula or spoon to press firmly and extract maximum juice. Discard the remaining pulp.
03 - Add the lemon juice and sugar to the strained fruit puree. Stir vigorously for 1-2 minutes until all sugar crystals have completely dissolved.
04 - Pour in the cold water and stir thoroughly to incorporate all ingredients. Taste and adjust sweetness by adding more sugar if desired. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow flavors to meld and mixture to chill thoroughly.
05 - Fill serving glasses with ice cubes. Pour the chilled pineapple pink lemonade over ice. Decorate each glass with fresh pineapple wedges, lemon slices, and mint leaves. Serve immediately.

# Expert Hints:

01 -
  • The color alone makes people gravitate toward your drink station like magic
  • It strikes that perfect balance between tropical sweet and mouth puckering tart
02 -
  • Straining seems like extra work but skipping it leaves you with a weird textured drink that separates as it sits
  • The sugar needs to be completely dissolved or itll settle at the bottom and the last few sips will be cloyingly sweet
03 -
  • Make the fruit base the night before and keep it separate from the water for maximum freshness
  • Room temperature fruit blends more smoothly than cold straight from the fridge
